COOLER conditions enticed another big field to the Traralgon Harriers’ Thursday night club run, a five kilometre circuit along Crosses Road, down Gilmour Street to Grey Street and back via Grubb Ave.
The club welcomed two new runners, Terry Anders and Sheryl Millar, who excelled.
The former came in first on handicap with a time of 26.07 minutes and Sheryl managed a brisk 29.17.
The first female runner home on handicap was Michelle Sawyer in 24.53 followed by Michelle Colwell in 32.02 and Becky Pattinson in 28.07, with the male runners led by Anders in 26.07, JP Meyer in 22.42 and Darren Fletcher third in a time of 21.59.
Darrel Cross, Biasi Silvestro and Kev Piercy were the fastest males home with times of 19.33, 20.05 and 21.18, respectively.
Best scratch markers for the ladies were Karen Graham in 21.54, Molly Irvine in 22.15 and Hillary Meyer in 22.32.
The Traralgon Harriers Latrobe City Community Fun Run and Walk is on this Sunday from 9am.

Next week’s 5km run is the Rose Rumble, starting from the corner of Rose St and Hickox St, Traralgon at 6pm.
