A CLOSED planning mediation meeting was held last week by Latrobe City Council between an applicant seeking the demolition of Ostlers House in Traralgon, and persons who submitted objections to the proposal.
There has been community interest in the former horse stable next to Ryan’s Hotel in Franklin Street, which came to the public’s attention a few months ago.
The owner of the site is seeking to have it taken down, citing damage to the foundation of the building; however, members of the community are urging for it to be preserved as a heritage building.
The report is expected to be tabled before council in the new year.
