A MAN flying an ultralight aircraft was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital last week in serious but stable condition after he crashed into Lake Narracan.
According to Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police, the 40 year-old man was flying over the lake about 6pm on 3 January when he struck powerlines. Paramedics attended the scene and treated the man who had suspected broken ribs and abrasions on his legs and shoulders.
Lake Narracan was closed yesterday for several hours to enable SP AusNet to replace powerlines across the lake damaged by the glider. The lake will reopen today.
