Stolen goods recovered

TWO Traralgon men have been found to be in possession of about $50,000 worth of building materials and tools after they were arrested for a burglary at a house under construction in Traralgon last week.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives believe the two men may have been responsible for a series of thefts of tools, equipment and other household appliances across the Gippsland region over the past few months.

A search warrant executed at three properties also uncovered a stolen motorcycle and two trailers in addition to the tools and equipment.

The men, aged 34 and 23 years, were believed to have targeted construction sites and houses under construction from Drouin to Sale.

Police investigators have urged anyone who has had tools stolen to phone the Latrobe CIU on 5131 5000.
