Wiggles come to Morwell

AUSTRALIA’S premier children’s entertainment troupe The Wiggles are bringing their vibrant routine to Morwell.

Speaking to The Express only minutes after wrapping up filming for their latest video, yellow Wiggle Greg Page said it was the first regional tour he had been involved in since returning to the group after a five-year hiatus.

“It’s great to be back; I almost forgot how much I enjoyed entertaining kids,” Greg said.

Personal illness prevented Greg from performing the group’s high energy routines in 2006, but he has since recovered, and said he was glad to be back.

“I think, like anybody, when you can’t do what you love doing, you really miss it,” he said.

When asked how many years of performance the group still had in them, Greg said the love of entertainment was paramount.

“I don’t know mate; we’ll keep doing it for as long as we enjoy it, and I’m going to make the most of it after being away from it for so long,” he said.

“Skivvies were never ‘in’ in the first place, so we can’t go ‘out’.”

The Wiggles will hit the Kernot Hall, Morwell on Wednesday and Thursday, 21 and 22 March.

Tickets can be purchased through the box office on 5176 3559, and is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm.
