V/Line customers asked to arrive early

V/Line customers have been asked to arrive at Traralgon and Morwell stations 20 minutes earlier to catch connecting buses as works begin today fixing the sunken track near Morwell.

The Gippsland line will remain closed between Moe, Traralgon and Bairnsdale for at least the next four weeks as repair work begins to fix track damaged in heavy rain.

To minimise delays to trains, Traralgon and Morwell customers should arrive at the station 20 minutes earlier than the timetabled departure time for trains to Melbourne, where a connecting bus will travel to Moe and meet waiting trains.

Customers from Bairnsdale, Stratford, Sale and Rosedale will travel on buses for the entire journey into Melbourne.

All trains from Melbourne will terminate at Moe and meet buses to travel onwards.

A temporary timetable will be developed in the coming days so passengers can more reliably time their arrival at the station.
