A MAN aged in his 40s has died in a car crash along Tyers Road about 10.20pm yesterday.
According to police, the man, who was driving a Ford Falcon sedan, was believed to have lost control of his car which left the road and hit a tree.
The driver died at the scene.
A male passenger in the car was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital for treatment.
The provisional road toll for 2013 is 10, compared with 20 this time last year.
