A SUSPICIOUS grass fire in Boolarra on Thursday is being investigated by Victoria Police.
At 12.30pm on Thursday emergency service units responded to a grass fire on Churchill-Boolarra Road, Boolarra.
The fire was 100 metres north of the Morwell River Road.
“The prompt response by passers by and members of the Boolarra Country Fire Authority stemmed the spread of the fire and restricted it to a small area,” according to a Victoria Police spokesperson.
“This response was pivotal in preventing property loss and injury to members of the community.”
