Gippsland-based MP Peter Hall will deliver his resignation speech in State Parliament today, after announcing last month he would not stand in the November election.
It is understood The Nationals preselection for Mr Hall’s Eastern Victoria region, upper house seat will take place this weekend.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to be both an MP and a Minister in the Victorian Parliament,” Mr Hall said in a statement this morning.
“Now is the right time for me to step aside and provide an opportunity for the next generation of Nationals to showcase their talents and take this great government into the next election.”
More to come.
