The Alice Project is in full swing in the Latrobe Valley – a host of activities designed to inspire movement, curiosity and creative thinking.
“This quirky project is inclusive, active, exciting, colourful and most of all fun,” Latrobe City arts education officer Eloisa Tripodi said.
Events held throughout this week include ‘Down the Rabbit Hole’ free dance story time sessions for two to five year-olds and their parents and carers, along with games and activities based on Alice and her adventures.
‘Mad Hatters Tea Parties’ will be taking place in businesses and community groups across Latrobe City, while ‘Follow the Footsteps’, an installation on pavements, will create a journey of 2500 steps.
The week will conclude with a hat making and dancing event, where participants can learn the Lobster Quadrille on Saturday at the Kay Street Gardens, Traralgon from 10am.
“We hope that everyone can join in some of the events, if not all, and get moving, get creating and get smiling,” Ms Tripodi said.
The Alice Project was funded by VicHealth’s MOTION program in partnership with Ausdance Victoria and Latrobe City.
