Morwell church and scout hall burgled

Police have appealed for public assistance following burglaries at two Morwell community groups over the weekend.

The first burglary occurred on Saturday night at a church on Maryvale Road when unknown offenders forced entry via a door, stealing cash and other property, including guitars, video cameras and an LCD television.

A second theft was discovered on Sunday at the scout hall on Margaret Street where burglars forced entry via a door, stealing camping equipment including tents and gas stoves.

A dishwasher, microwave, vacuum cleaner, two barbeques and cash were also stolen.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
