Applications for a new chief executive for Latrobe City Council are set to close at the beginning of next month.
Acting CEO John Mitchell said council had appointed consultant Margaret Devlin as an independent chair of the CEO selection process.
Mr Mitchell said the arrangement for the selection process was still being finalised. Meanwhile, all four newly-appointed general managers will be in place by the middle of September.
In April, Mr Mitchell initiated a restructure to reduce the organisation’s five overarching departments to four.
It came as the council’s only two remaining general managers departed, following an exodus of all their senior leadership colleagues in the six months prior, including chief executive Paul Buckley.
