Country Fire Authority crews were called to about 10 lightning strike fires across the Latrobe Valley overnight, as mother nature put on a spectacular sound and light show.
Region 10 Operations Officer Peter Barr said the fires were the result of lightning strikes to trees and were contained to those trees.
One power pole was struck in Traralgon.
