Meet moved

Moe Racing Club’s scheduled 27 January meeting will be transferred to Stony Creek.

The racecourse underwent a planned extensive renovation following its last meeting on 12 December consisting of scarifying, a top dressing of sand and an over sow of grass seed.

“This was the first full renovation since Moe underwent a $4.5 million redevelopment and has been a success, however the track has taken longer than anticipated to return to a state suitable for racing,” Racing Victoria racing operations manager Paul Bloodworth said.

Moe Racing Club chief David McKinnon said there were another seven race meetings programmed for the next five months.

Racing returns to Moe on Friday, 13 February with free patron admission.

The next event raceday is Sunday, 22 February with the Horses and Horse Power Raceday.
