A 32 year-old man has been remanded in custody following an aggravated burglary in Grubb Avenue, Traralgon on Tuesday evening.
Latrobe Criminal Investigation Unit detective Jason Benbow said about 6.30pm, the offender attended the address, allegedly forced his way into the home and assaulted a victim who was known to him and inside the property.
“The offender punched the victim to the head multiple times and dragged him into the lounge room where he further assaulted him,” Detective Benbow said.
“The victim underwent surgical treatment for his lacerations at Latrobe Regional Hospital.
“The offender was caught in the Traralgon central business district later that evening.”
The offender will be remanded in custody until 16 April.
