Heart-warming tradition continues

About 1000 community members pulled on their runners and joined in the GDF SUEZ Heart Walk in Traralgon on Monday.

After scoffing down a scrumptious breakfast spread put on by the Traralgon Lions Club, walkers participated in a group warm-up before bee-lining for the track. Participants had the choice between a 2.7 kilometre route and a 4km route around the Traralgon central business district.

GDF SUEZ Australian Energy head of generation Luc Dietvorst said the organisation was proud to again support the Heart Walk, which was in its 19th year.

“We were thrilled to see so many people out and about on Australia Day, and especially pleased that many of them were dressed in their Australian colours,” Mr Dietvorst said.

“The Heart Walk has become an Australia Day tradition for many in the Latrobe Valley, and we are proud to be a part of that.”
