The long-speculated construction of chain restaurant Hog’s Breath Cafe in Traralgon is set to go ahead, after Latrobe City Council granted a planning permit on Monday night.
It will be built on the corner of Argyle Street and Riggall Road (pictured) and operate seven days-a-week, employing about 40 people.
There were eight objections to the proposal, with some Riggall Road residents speaking on Monday night to express concerns about traffic and the possibility some patrons would use the street for parking.
After granting the permit, council requested a report on all possible traffic management, and other options, to address the concerns of residents be presented at its next meeting.
