Children sprinted to gather foil-wrapped chocolate eggs in the backyard of the Moe Central Child Care and Kinder Centre.
The 30-odd youngsters also received a visit from the ‘Easter Bunny’, who offered cuddles on his knee and a chocolate rabbit to take home.
Centre coordinator Sharon Grealy said the children had also been engaged in Easter crafts, making bunny ears, chicken collages and Easter egg baskets.
Ms Grealy said she let the children eat a bit of chocolate, before taking a nap.
“When they’re asleep, the ‘Easter Bunny’ will put the chocolate in their baskets,” she said.
The Moe Central Child Care and Kinder Centre will close for the Easter holiday, before returning on Tuesday, 7 April.
