VicRoads crews will carry out repairs across the Latrobe Valley this week.
The work is due to be finished by the end of April, weather permitting, and involve laying new surfaces on existing roads to improve condition, strength and safety.
Some sections of the roads may remain under speed restrictions because of loose stones or until line marking can be completed.
VicRoads warned drivers to obey all signs and changed traffic conditions, even when there were no workers on site.
Roadwork locations include:
The Princes Freeway, east and west bound between Traralgon and Morwell
Gunns Gully off-ramp, Princes Highway, Moe
Moe-Glengarry Road, east of Moe
Morwell-Traralgon Road, east-bound
Traralgon-Maffra Road, west of Toongabbie
Grand Ridge Road, Balook
