INTERLEAGUE
Gippsland League senior interleague coach Steve Hazelman has named a powerful and balanced side for next weekend’s AFL Victoria Country Championships clash with Yarra Valley Mountain District Football Netball League.
Nine of the league’s 10 clubs are represented, with Sale contributing six players to the final 22.
Moe’s James Blaser, Sale’s Tom Hams, Traralgon’s Tim Northe and Warragul’s Brad Scalzo were added to the initial 35-man training squad, following strong club form in the past fortnight.
The team takes on Yarra Valley at Drouin Recreation Reserve on Saturday, with the winner moving up to eighth on the AFL Victoria Country Championships rankings.
