Business Events Gippsland in partnership with Business Events Victoria has put regional Victoria in the spotlight at its inaugural Business Events Victoria Regional Showcase, held on Wednesday, 20 May in Melbourne.
The showcase allowed attendees to see what Gippsland has to offer in business event locations and destinations.
Destination Gippsland marketing manager Andrew Wilson said the event promoted Gippsland’s fantastic event locations and provided a valuable networking opportunity for people working in the events industry.
“We have a fantastic relationship with Business Events Victoria and these types of initiatives are important for us to be able to meet with over 180 buyers in this format,” Mr Wilson said.
“The business events and conference market provides over $35 million per annum into the Gippsland visitor economy and is particularly valuable as conferences and their delegates tend to be a high yielding market.”
