An unsuspecting Latrobe Valley resident may be the lucky winner of a TattsLotto division one prize.
Purchased at Traralgon Newsagency & Lotto, the winning ticket owner of $773,043 from the 5 September draw is yet to step forward and claim their prize.
Store owner Gary Garth said it was “absolutely excellent” to sell the winning ticket and encouraged all of his customers to check their numbers.
“It’s a really good feeling and it would be great if it was a local,” Mr Garth said.
He recommended everyone who purchased a tatts pack for Father’s Day from his store to let their dads know to check their tickets.
“I really hope someone comes forward. We know it’s an unregistered ticket and I think this highlights the benefits of paying the $7.70 to register,” Mr Garth said.
“It’s worth having a registered ticket as the winner would have got a call within a couple of days of the draw.”
The Franklin Street shop has had somewhat of a winning streak over the years, with 46 division one winners since opening.
“It’s a bit of a lucky store,” Mr Garth said.
The winning numbers from the draw were 13, 37, 27, 42, 31 and 5.
