Three drug traffickers have been charged following a search warrant at a Drouin residence on Monday morning.
Sergeant Darren Eldrige said Moe and Trafalgar police executed the warrant for a quantity of methamphetamine and cannabis.
Sgt Eldrige said as a result two women, aged 21 and 22 years, and a man aged 20 had been arrested and charged with drug trafficking offences.
He said another 20 year-old man was charged with drug possession.
Sgt Eldridge said three offenders were allegedly known to be responsible for trafficking drugs in the Moe, Morwell and Traralgon areas.
“This was predominantly at nightclubs in the three locations,” Sgt Eldridge said.
He said drugs and drug paraphernalia were found throughout the offenders’ residence.
“Police would like to thank the community for information that has assisted them in obtaining the search warrant,” Sgt Eldridge said.
The four offenders were charged and bailed to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on 11 February.
Anyone with information about the offenders should phone Moe Police Station on 5128 1100 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
Knuckle duster found during arrest
Police arrested and charged a 35 year-old Moe man in relation to drug possession and dependency of cannabis and methamphetamine yesterday.
Moe police also processed a 23 year-old woman in relation to possession and drug dependency of cannabis and possession and control of a weapon, known as a ‘knuckle duster’.
A court date had yet to be confirmed at the time of print for the man, while the woman was released under the Cannabis Caution program.
Sergeant Darren Eldridge said the program was designed for first time offenders, offering counselling rather than court procedures.
