A CYCLIST travelling south along Monash Road at Hazelwood South was allegedly sideswiped by a four-wheel drive.
Police attended the scene just south of Firmins Lane, where a 45 year-old man from Hazelwood North was allegedly hit on his bicycle by a 42 year-old woman driving a 4WD just after 11am Sunday.
Traralgon police Sergeant Andrea Kleeven said the man was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital.
Sgt Kleeven said the woman was not injured.
The road was blocked from Firmins Lane to Bonds Lane for about an hour.
Man fronts LCHS with stab wound
A COMMUNITY health centre was forced to close temporarily on Wednesday when a man entered the premises suffering a stab wound.
Moe police Sergeant Andrew McCorey said officers were called out to an incident at Latrobe Community Health Service, where they discovered a 30 year-old with a suspected stab wound to the shoulder.
Sergeant McCorey said police investigated the incident, but it was not being treated as suspicious.
He said it was believed the wound was self-inflicted and the man had received further treatment at Latrobe Regional Hospital.
LCHS spokesman Dominic McInerney said the injury occurred away from the site and the centre was closed for about 90 minutes due to the incident.
“Staff are trained to deal with unusual circumstances and he wasn’t treated by us. Emergency services were quickly on the scene and there was only a short stint that we weren’t seeing clients,” Mr McInerney said.
