YOUNG readers are encouraged to spark their imagination over the holidays and join in on the activities at any Latrobe City library.
There is plenty on offer, from a summer reading club with a Lost Worlds theme, to a Boredom Busters program inviting children to play board games.
Early next year a special dinosaur-themed story time session will be held at all four libraries, while children can also take part in craft-making sessions.
Richard Galbraith will also host cartooning workshops, teaching children the secrets of drawing cartoons over one hour sessions.
“There’s so much more than books on offer at your local libraries,” Latrobe City coordinator of libraries Deb Skinner said.
“So make sure you visit us over the holidays to indulge in adventures, crafts and all things imagination.”
Bookings are essential for all sessions, as places are limited.
To book or for more information, phone 1300 367 700 or visit a Latrobe City library or service centre.
Those aged between four and 16 years can register for the reading club at a Latrobe City library or online at www.summerreadingclub.org.au
