THE public got its first look at detailed plans for the Latrobe Valley gateway project at Moe on Wednesday.
Feedback was generally positive with residents asked to score the plans and provide comments.
Representatives from VicRoads and Latrobe City Council, which are developing the gateway, were on hand to receive the comments and suggestions from members of the public.
The $2.6 million project at the western entrance to Moe will include a truck rest area with architecturally-designed landscaping, improved signage and lighting on the Princes Freeway, and new on and off ramps.
Extra parking for cars and larger vehicles will also be constructed at Old Gippstown to ensure visitor traffic enters the town.
