Traralgon teen killed

A Traralgon teenager has died in hospital after rolling his car in Grand Ridge on Friday.

According to police, the white Toyota utility rolled several times down an embankment on Morwell River Road just before 11.15pm.

Police said the driver was airlifted to The Alfred hospital with a critical head injury and chest injury, but died the following day.

The three teenage passengers were taken to Latrobe Region Hospital with injuries.

A woman in her late teens was in a serious but stable condition with facial and back injuries, a man in his late teens had a leg injury and a man in his late 20s suffered minor injuries.

A fire engulfed a rear shed in Moe in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Morwell and Moe police and Country Fire Authority firefighters attended the Parkside Drive property about 2.20am.

The shed was discovered fully alight on arrival, but was contained quickly.

Police said the incident was being treated as suspicious.

CFA crews were still patrolling the site of a grassfire yesterday that burnt up to six hectares in Trafalgar East.

After receiving the call about 1.30pm Monday, nine tankers and additional crew attended the scene, gaining control of the fire about 4.30pm that day.

The fire was declared safe on Tuesday at 3.40pm.

There was no threat to nearby communities, although residents are reminded to monitor conditions.
