Petrol prices remain high

Latrobe Valley motorists have coughed up an average of 16.8 cents per litre more than Bairnsdale motorists this week.

While Bairnsdale drivers paid just 100.8 cents per litre at the pump for the seven day period ending Tuesday, Traralgon motorists were slugged 119.7 cents per litre.

Moe fuel outlets recorded an average of 117.4 cents per litre while Morwell paid 115.6 cents per litre for the week.

Across the state, the highest median price was 120.8 cents per litre at Corryong.

Bairnsdale recorded the lowest price across Victoria, 6.5 cents cheaper than metropolitan Melbourne’s weekly average of 107.3 cents per litre.
