Police have charged a Traralgon woman following an alleged stabbing at a Liddiard Road residence on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Latrobe Criminal Investigation Unit, the 24 year-old woman allegedly stabbed a 24 year-old man in the face and neck area with a pair of scissors.
Detective Senior Constable Andrew Lappin said the pair were known to each other, but not in a relationship.
The man was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital and underwent surgery.
At time of going to print, the man remained in hospital in a stable condition.
The woman has been charged with recklessly causing serious injury and drug related matters.
She was released on bail and will appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on 27 September.
