Rail trail pet walk

The Ted Basarke Mercy Foundation is a charitable organisation operating in the Latrobe Valley.

The foundation recognises the role of companion pets in promoting human health and wellbeing, and social inclusion.

The foundation assists owners who are financially vulnerable by subsidising veterinary care.

On the third Sunday of the month, a walk is held on the Moe-Yallourn Rail Trail.

It leaves from the rotunda in the Moe Botanical Gardens (near the tennis club) at 9.30am; access is via Botanic Drive, left from Dinwoodie Drive.

The walk offers an opportunity for social interaction of owners and dogs alike.

Everyone is welcome to attend with or without pets and the gold coin donation goes directly towards the foundation.

Refreshments are provided at the conclusion of the walk.

The next walk will be held on Sunday.
