A NEW 21 year lease for Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club is on the brink of approval.
At last Monday’s Latrobe City Council meeting, council officers recommended chief executive Gary Van Driel sign the new lease pending the completion of some outstanding works at Glenview Park.
The works in question are related to some remedial landscaping and severing of a triax cable which linked the elevated steward boxes with the grandstand.
It followed council resolving to endorse the draft terms and conditions for the long term lease at the 2 May 2016 meeting.
The current lease was set to expire on 30 June 2021, but TGRC had been negotiating a new lease in lieu of recent multimillion dollar upgrades to the facility.
