A diverse range of applicants has applied to join the Latrobe Health Assembly, according to its chair, Professor John Catford.
Expressions of interest closed recently, with the Latrobe Health Taskforce to consider the applications over the coming weeks.
Professor Catford said the taskforce had been fortunate to receive a diverse mix of applicants from right across the Latrobe Valley, “representing many different communities and groups, age ranges and gender”.
After the taskforce has completed assessments, recommendations will be made to Health Minister Jill Hennessy.
Candidates will then be notified of the outcome of their application.
Professor Catford said the assembly was on track to be up and running by the end of this year.
