A man has died following a collision at Hazelwood North on Thursday afternoon.
Police report a north-bound Toyota ute and a Toyota four-wheel-drive towing a horse float travelling east along Church Road collided about 5.30pm.
The driver of the ute, a 44 year-old Churchill man, died at the scene and the driver of the 4WD, a 53 year-old Koo Wee Rup woman, was taken to hospital but released a short time later without injury.

Latrobe Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged an 18 year-old man on summons on Thursday following alleged match fixing at a tennis tournament in Traralgon in October.
Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit detectives and bookmakers assisted with the investigation into alleged match fixing at the tournament which occurred on 16 October.
The Queensland man was charged with engaging in conduct that corrupts a betting outcome.
He will appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court on 2 March.
Assistant Commissioner Neil Paterson said the integrity of sport and racing remains a critical focus of the Victoria Police Sporting Integrity Intelligence Unit through the targeting of match fixers and those who corrupt betting outcomes.
“Match fixing is one of the fastest growing organised crime types across the world at the present time,” he said.
