More than 110 students graduated from Federation University Gippsland on Thursday as the second cohort to graduate under the FedUni banner.
Both local and international students graduated with diplomas and degrees from a wide variety of faculties in a joyous ceremony attended by family, friends and university educators and staff.
The mood of the ceremony was captured by graduate speaker Emily Cordy.
“The journey towards our hopes and dreams does not cease here, but rather, begins,” she said.
“Let these degrees represent what you can achieve.”
Vice-Chancellor Professor Helen Bartlett said the graduation ceremony represented a very important day for graduates to celebrate their achievements with family and friends.

Professor Bartlett said many of the graduates were mature-aged students.
“Many (graduates) are later life learners. Many of them are already in the workforce and pursued a degree to further their education,” she said.
“On behalf of the
Monash University’s Gippsland campus and the University of Ballarat merged in 2014 to become Federation University.
