OF all the train stations on the V/Line network, the one voted to have the best Christmas decorations was right here in the Latrobe Valley.
Moe train station was the winner of V/Line’s annual Christmas decorating competition, getting the nod from judged and V/Line chief executive officer Matt Carrick.
Eleven stations across the V/Line network were involved in getting into the festive spirit.
“It was wonderful to see our staff getting into the festive spirit and, despite some tough competition, I’m sure passengers at the station would agree that Moe was a standout,” he said.
“V/Line plays an important role in regional Victoria and I take great pride in seeing our staff continue to make valuable contributions to their community through fun initiatives.”
The decorating competition is an initiative organised by V/Line each year to encourage staff to come together and be creative, helping to spread cheer to passengers.
Camperdown Station on the Warrnambool line took out second place and Echuca Station on the northern corridor came in third.
