A man has been charged by Baw Baw Family Violence Investigation Unit after an alleged dispute at Coopers Creek campground on Australia Day.
The 29-year-old Noble Park man allegedly armed himself with a machete during a dispute at the campground, located approximately 35km north of Moe.
He allegedly made threats to other campers before lighting a fire in the vicinity of the campsites, driving his vehicle erratically and allegedly ramming another parked vehicle.
No one was injured during the incident.
He has been charged with false imprisonment, making threats to inflict serious injury, reckless conduct endangering a person, weapon offences, assault, criminal damage by fire, criminal damage and lighting a fire during a period of Fire Danger.
The man is appearing at Latrobe Valley Magistrates Court today.
