A MAN was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital on the afternoon of Monday, February 28 with head and facial injuries after an alleged assault.
The alleged assault occurred near a bus stop on Langford Street in Moe at 4.38pm.
A 32-year-old Moe man exited a bus at the bus stop, as did a 21-year-old Moe man, who was accompanied by a woman pushing a pram.
The 21-year-old man approached the other man from behind and allegedly punched him multiple times in the back of the head.
The assault continued, and the 32-year-old man was allegedly kicked and had his head stomped on multiple times, rendering him unconscious.
The 21-year-old man left the scene with the woman pushing the pram after the alleged assault.
Ambulance Victoria attended the scene and took the injured man to Latrobe Regional Hospital to receive treatment.
The other man was arrested on Monday night, and was remanded in police custody until Tuesday March 1 2022.

Alleged stabbing
A MAN was allegedly stabbed in Morwell during an attack by two men on Buckley Street.
The 25-year-old Morwell man and a Morwell woman were approached by two men on the night of Saturday, March 5 at about 9.30pm.
One of the men was carrying a fence paling and allegedly attacked the 25-year-old man, who tried to defend himself.
During the altercation he received a minor stab wound and was taken to Latrobe Regional Hospital by Ambulance Victoria.
One of the men involved in the alleged stabbing was known to the Morwell man and woman.

Car fire at pine plantation
EMERGENCY services attended a car fire at a HVP plantation at 4.30pm on Friday, March 4.
They were alerted to the fire after smoke was observed.
The fire was extinguished by the Country Fire Authority and no other damage was reported.
The car, a Ford sedan registered to a Pakenham address, was completely destroyed.
At the time of the incident the vehicle was not reported as stolen.
Police believe the car was dumped at the plantation and set alight.
The fire is currently under investigation.

Arrest made in relation to Bridle Estate burglaries
MORWELL Police have made an arrest in relation to the spate of Morwell Bridle Estate burglaries reported in recent months.
The person was processed at Morwell Police Station on Friday, and was bailed on Friday night.
They were charged with a number of thefts from motor vehicles.
Vehicle fire
A VEHICLE was set on fire on Traralgon Creek Road on Wednesday, March 2 at 9pm.
The vehicle had broken down the day before and was left in the location by the owner.
