Police arrested a Churchill woman, 56, following a pursuit in Morwell last night.
Morwell Police were called to Commercial Road in regard to a welfare check on a woman in a car just after 7.30pm.
Officers and a member of the public attempted to speak to the woman when she drove off and hit the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was not injured.
A pursuit was initiated at low speed through the streets of Morwell.
The female driver stopped in Grant Street where she was arrested, and her vehicle impounded.
Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage.
