MORWELL MAN CAUGHT TIMES OVER BAC LIMIT
AN unlicensed driver was caught almost four times over the legal blood alcohol concentration limit in Morwell on Sunday, September 24.
The man first caught police attention when he was allegedly driving erratically along Churchill Road about 3.40pm.
The 26-year-old Morwell man was taken back to a local police station where he returned an alleged evidentiary breath test result of 0.192.
The man had his vehicle impounded at a cost of $1185.
He is expected to be summonsed in relation to drink driving.
STOLEN CAR
A 2021 Nissan Navara was stolen from the Glengarry area between the September 16-17, 2023. The vehicle has sign writing ‘Roof Works’ on both sides.

MAN DIES IN TRUCK COLLISION
MAJOR Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a man riding a skateboard collided with a truck in Moe on Thursday night, September 28.
It is believed the truck and the skateboarder were both travelling east along Narracan Drive when the two collided just after 7pm.
A man, who is yet to be identified, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he died a short time later.
The truck driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with enquiries.

5000 GRAND FINAL WEEKEND OFFENCES
MORE than 5000 offences were detected by Victoria Police during Operation Scoreboard over the AFL Grand Final long weekend.
In the operation, police targeted high-risk driving behaviour, with a particular focus on drink and drug driving.
The total 5483 offences detected included:
2341 speeding offences;
213 drink driving offences;
130 drug driving offences;
352 disqualified/suspended and unlicensed drives, and;
489 unregistered vehicles.
With warmer weather coming, Victoria Police urge everyone to remain vigilant on our roads, take extra care and share the road – particularly with more people out walking, riding and driving.
VEHICLE INCIDENT
7NEWS Gippsland reported that police are expected to charge a 15-year-old for crashing into a parked car in Well Street in Morwell on Tuesday, September 26 at about 4pm.
It is alleged the teen fled the scene on foot after the crash.
