CENTRAL Gippsland Cricket Association president John White’s new book, ‘Coal Dust and Cricket’, was officially launched today.
About 30 people attended the launch held at Ted Summerton Reserve, Moe.
White’s book covers the history of the Yallourn and District and Central Gippsland cricket associations.
CGCA life member Ron Marslen drove from Queensland especially for the launch, and told stories about his time playing in the association.
A panel was on hand to answer questions about the association, and State Member for Morwell Russel Northe officially launched the book this morning.
A light lunch followed and the festivities kicked on until mid afternoon.
The book is available from Morwell and Churchill newsagencies, and from any CGCA club for $40.
