Burgiel to lead Tigers again

Adrian Burgiel has been reappointed captain at the Gormandale Cricket Club for season 2012-13.

In announcing his re-appointment club president Jim Northe said he was delighted that Burgiel had decided to continue with the club which won the A grade premiership in impressive fashion this season.

“Adrian had a fantastic season personally which culminated in him winning the TDCA best and fairest and making a century in the grand final,” Northe said.

“He also led the team very well and has fitted in beautifully with the Gormandale Cricket Club.”

The club also has two new life members after its presentation day held recently.

“It was a very emotional moment for all when Jason Membrey who played his 200th club game in the grand final was named as a life member,” Northe said.

Kent Hammond was also presented with a life membership, regarding the award as one of the most fulfilling of his career.
