Newborough’s Tom Siinmaa is set to compete at the National BMX Championships this weekend.
Earlier in the year, Siinmaa was crowned Victorian senior BMX rider of the year while his father, Greg, was awarded the title in the veteran category.
Siinmaa is currently racing on the professional BMX circuit in Australia and is contemplating a move to the United States in 2013 to further his racing career.
The championships are running until Sunday, with Siinmaa’s primary competition day on Saturday.
