GIPPSLAND League netball is set for a thrilling season in 2013 in what is shaping as a balanced A grade competition.
Each club has enjoyed a big pre season and are looking forward to putting their hard work to the test this Saturday during round one.
Off season uncertainty as to whether Moe would play in the GL dissipated with news the club would field six teams.
Moe snatched up renowned coach Vicki Van Geldren to take the reins who should steer the side in a more positive direction in 2013.
Leongatha will struggle to hold back-to-back titles having lost several players from its premiership side, and sufffered a huge blow losing coach and best and fairest winner Ebony Best.
Sale has a young side taking the court this year in A grade.
The club has been working hard throughout the preseason in a bid to achieve a better finish in 2013.
Sale has received funding from the local council to upgrade its courts in a big boost to the club.
Bairnsdale is being coached by Brooke Scapin.
There are no big changes to their line up as the club looks to utilise the strength from its juniors in senior grades.
Maffra is another youthful outfit heading into this season and has retained head coach Natasha Dowsett.
Wonthaggi has retained its core A grade playing group and will again be a strong team in the competition hoping to take it one step further in 2013.
Warragul has no new names joining the club in its A grade side.
The club will field a young side containing great home grown talent who will look at improving in the coming season.
Drouin is another relatively unchanged line up, but will welcome new A grade coaches Kylie and Stacie Proctor.
Morwell has had some comings and goings in the off season but will put a strong side on the court under the guidance of coach Vicki Stevens.
Traralgon lost a number of players from last year’s preliminary side but has been able to bring up some of its talented juniors.
The match of the round is last year’s preliminary final replay between Sale and Traralgon.
