Rams to face fierce Wolves

CHURCHILL will be without injured star player Kwaku Dade when the Rams meet Monash in the Battle of Britain Cup quarter finals on Sunday.

Sweeper Trent Felici will be missing from the Monash line-up in what is expected to be a hotly contested encounter.

In their two Gippsland Soccer League encounters this year the Rams have prevailed over the Wolves on both occasions with identical 4-3 scorelines.

In the Morwell derby Fortuna will host Crinigan Road rivals Falcons.

Despite not having beaten the Orangemen in GSL fixtures for the past decade, the Birds have held recent bragging rights in the knock-out cup.

Falcons have defeated Fortuna twice at critical stages of the competition in the past four years.

In another tantalising match, underperforming Traralgon City faces a solid Moe United side.

With its league championship aspirations out of the picture, the Roosters will look to the cup to prove its positive 2012 season was not a fluke.

In the final fixture, Sale hosts Traralgon Olympians in what is expected to be a fierce clash following  their 0-0 draw in the latest GSL round.

Like their Traralgon City neighbours, Olympians will be fired up to take cup honours after a below par league campaign to date.

If the fixtures are drawn at the end of regular time the matches will enter extra time or penalties if required.
