Pro-Am to offer a ‘stern test’

JARROD Lyle heads a field of quality professionals playing the 2013 Massaro Motors-Suzuki Pro-Am at Yallourn Golf Club on Monday.

The likes of Lyle, Brad Lamb, Kris Mueck, Glenn Joyner, Ryan Haywood, Andrew Martin, Michael Faraone, Tim Wood, David Bransdon and local professional Craig Hasthorpe will be challenging to become the 2013 champion.

Pro-Am manager John Engel said the course was in “beautiful” condition at present following a “really good winter” and would offer a stern test to the field, with the pro-am record standing at 67.

Both amateur and professional golfers will have the opportunity to win a Suzuki Swift Sports for a hole in one on the par three, eighth hole.

A number of places are still available for any golfer, male or female, with an AGU handicap to participate in the 2013 event.

The cost to enter is $30 (meal not included) for a morning shotgun start at 7.30am or $65 (three course meal included) for a 12.30pm start. Spectators are welcome and entry is free.

Entry forms are available at Yallourn Golf Club, the club’s website www.yallourngolfclub.com.au or by phoning John Engel on
