GCL finalists finalised

TRARALGON will face Bairnsdale in the Gippsland Cricket League final after finishing second on the ladder after five rounds.

The Tornados had an early taste of the final on Sunday when they fell short against ladder topper Bairnsdale.

Greg Munro’s 42 propped up Traralgon’s total of 133 batting first, which Bairnsdale reached with five wickets in hand.

In other round five matches Leongatha toppled Central Gippsland and Sale Maffra ended its disappointing campaign with a win over Warragul.

The final will be staged on 1 February.
