GIPPSTAR
MAFFRA gymnast Brittney Gray had to wait until December to claim the Gippstar open award after winning gold in the vault, silver in the floor and runner-up in the all round events in the Victorian State Gymnastics Championships.
The 17 year-old has been among the highest achievers in Gippsland in her sport and is a coach at her club.
The Gippstar junior award went to 12 year-old golfer Levi Sclater from Sale.
It is the second junior Gippstar award Levi has taken out since winning in December 2013.
Last year Levi was again State Primary Schools champion and has been a member of the state school team two years in a row.
Nominations are still open for the January Gippstar awards, closing on 14 February.
