Raiders cruise to Victory against Centrals

A whirlwind century to Churchill’s Chris Williams, a six-wicket haul from Gormandale skipper Shaun Barbour and a dominant performance from Glengarry have ended the Traralgon and District Cricket Association home and away season.

MTY Raiders v Centrals

Raiders needed 85 runs to win and completely dominated from the outset.

Centrals had no answers as the home team got the runs easily.

Mick Higgins was denied a century after he was caught behind for 96.

Liam Maynard scored 41 as Raiders declared at 3/185.

Gormandale v Ex Students

Gormandale has ended Ex Students’ unbeaten run with a comprehensive win.

Chasing 247, the Sharks lost all hope when in form batsman Greg Munro was dismissed for 32.

Barbour destroyed the much vaunted Ex Students line-up, snaring 6/43 off 27 overs.

Adam Brady chimed in with 3/84 as the Sharks were all out for 163.

Glengarry v CATS

Glengarry bowled CATS out for a paltry 76 in 32 overs.

Tim Spotswood, Max Merton, Ryan Delaney and Jarrod Allan each took two wickets while Cam Graham got the prize scalp of Barney Webber.

Glengarry batted out the day in a tune up for the finals and reached 2/192 in their second innings.

Rovers v Imperials

Chasing 230 and already 2/13, Rovers had a tough task ahead of it.

Simon Duff top scored with 61, while Todd Mann (30) and Peter Ingwersen (46) contributed to the score as Rovers were bundled out for 167.

Luke Hendersen had a great match with figures of 4/48 while Joel Rand took 4/39.

Churchill v Traralgon West

Needing a further 150 to win Churchill destroyed the winless Traralgon West in under two hours.

Williams starred for the Cobras with a 132, while John Keighran was just as good with 93 as Churchill declared at 2/260 off 47 overs.
