EAST Gippsland United made an impressive Gippsland Soccer League central division senior debut yesterday, accounting for Morwell Pegasus 4-2 at Ronald Reserve.
The Bairnsdale based side shot to a 3-1 lead by half-time, and went out to a 4-1 advantage before Pegasus scored a consolation goal on full-time.
EGUFC’s reserves were felled 5-1.
The league’s other debutant Trafalgar Victory had no such luck, going down 8-0 to a rampant Falcons 2000.
