MOE driver Anne Gooding did not quite manage to make it a family podium at the women’s Speedway State Titles in Alexandra at the weekend, but her daughter held up her end of the bargain.
Kelly McDermott finished a creditable third behind two Melbourne drivers, with Rosedale club member Tracey Ingram fourth and Gooding in fifth, while Trafalgar-based Mel Tatterson ran seventh.
This weekend Rosedale and Bairnsdale will host a big Easter twin track meeting, with Rosedale to race on Good Friday and Bairnsdale on Saturday.
The classes are: VSC Sprintcars, Mens Standard Saloons, Junior Standard Saloons, Mini Sprints, Wingless Sprints and Limited Sportsman.
Racing starts 4pm.
